Heather Castillo’s practice concentrates on the handling of various school law matters, including personnel/employment, student discipline, district policy, FERPA, open records, Texas Tort Claims Act, and EEOC and OCR complaints.

REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS:
Since 2005, Ms. Castillo has acted as General Counsel to the Arlington Independent School District. Ms. Castillo has experience defending school districts, colleges and their administrators and personnel against various claims, including constitutional and federal civil rights violations, wrongful termination claims and claims arising under the Texas Torts Claims Act. Ms. Castillo also has experience in a variety of other areas, including corporate and entertainment law, general litigation, family and probate, oil and gas, trade secrets, bankruptcy, employment law, debt collection and business entity formation.
